We are working hard already! We will be working on the following skills:

Reading: We are reviewing nonfiction, fiction, sequence, characters and listening skills (3.3B; 3.4A). We will be reading “Enemy Pie” and “The Can Man”. We will learn the following academic vocabulary: realistic fiction, genre, character, setting, problem, solution, theme, message. Our story vocabulary is: Enemy, kindness, confused, boomerang, panicked, recipe, approach.

Writing and Spelling: We are reviewing nouns, verbs, adjectives and punctuation. Our SPELLING will be for the next two weeks. We are learning open and closed syllables and how to segment the word. There will not be a list to study, as we don’t test memorization. We test how they use the skill.

Social Studies: We are reviewing ME in my School.
