We are continuing to work hard on reading skills and navigating through passages at an independent level! We are SO PROUD of these kiddos!

Reading: review of common assessment (No grade taken on this assessment. This was just for teacher data and instruction needs.) We will begin dictionary skills AND context clues direct instruction (3.3A,B). We will also continue to work on the difference between author’s message and author’s purpose (3.10A,D,F). We will read Patricia Polacco books to work on author’s message and purpose.

Language Arts and Writing: We will write reflections based on common assessment thoughts. We will also write responses, based on our reading. SPELLING: We will begin our work on memorizing highly used words, due to requirements on testing. These words will be tested in context (context clues TEKS for reading also).

Social Studies: We will continue our work with landforms. Students are researching their chosen landforms. We will begin our Google Slides project, as well as work towards our salt dough landform building.
